What we collect

• Account data: email address and a securely hashed password (or a sign-in link token).
• Study content: the notes and files you upload and the study sets we generate from them.
• Usage data: the number of sets created, basic request logs (IP address, timestamps) for security and rate limiting, and the AI cost per request.
• Billing: handled by Polar. We receive your subscription status and customer ID, never your full card number.

How we use it

To provide and secure the service, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests. We don't sell your personal information and we don't use your uploads to train AI models.

Processors

To generate questions, the text of your upload is sent to an AI model provider (currently DeepSeek, with Groq or Google Gemini as backups) under their API terms. Hosting is on a virtual private server we control. Payments are processed by Polar (and its processor Stripe).

Retention and deletion

Uploaded files are processed in memory and not stored; we store the extracted text length and the generated study set. You can ask us to delete your account and all study sets at any time by emailing support@quizmynotes.com.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If we learn that we have, we delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to processing. Email us to exercise them.

Cookies

We use one essential, HTTP-only session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use advertising cookies.
